Drink More Water...

Water is huge when it comes to losing weight. Actually, drinking water is important regardless of if you're trying to lose weight. We're suppose to consume at least half of our body weight in ounces of water every day. So if you weigh 200lbs, that means you should be drinking at least 100oz of water everyday. Consuming this amount of water seems outlandish but it really isn't once you make it a priority in your life. It's amazing what we achieve once we decide to place tasks on our list of priorities.

To make it easier, I schedule my water drinking making sure I met certain benchmarks throughout the day. To drink at least half of your body weight (in ounces) in water every day, how much does that mean every hour? Sit down. Figure it out. If you're at work by 8:00, how much water should you drink before lunch, before leaving work, by dinner time, etc.? It's not an impossible feat. I once thought it was impossible until I did it. Let's all make an effort to get our water in EVERYday! Start replacing the soft drinks, juices, sodas etc with water. Before you know, you'll be thirsty for a glass of water.

Here are some health benefits to drinking water:

1. Helps maintain the balance of body fluids

2. Help control calories (by substituting it in leu of caloric beverage)

3. Helps energize muscle

4. Helps keep your skin looking good

5. Helps your kidneys

6. Maintain normal bowel function
